The High Ryes

1 oz | KOVAL Rye Whiskey |
1 oz | North Shore Aquavit |
1/2 oz | KOVAL Caraway Liqueur |
1/2 oz | Honey Syrup |
1 dash | Bittercube Orange Bitters |
Shake, Strain into a chilled rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist. |
Seeded Rye Julep
Scot Mattox, Iris, New Orleans, LA
Mix in a julep cup: | |
1 barspoon | Superfine sugar |
3 Pieces of lemon peel in the bottom | |
1 Fresh sprig of thyme | |
*Very lightly press the lemon peels and sugar together using a muddler. | |
1 oz | KOVAL Caraway Liqueur |
2 oz | KOVAL Rye Whiskey |
Swirl to dissolve the sugar. Beat ice until finely crushed, mix some into the julep cup, and keep adding ice until there is a rounded cone on top -a julep should be very icy, like a New Orleans snowball. |
