An American pastime, not far from baseball, whiskey is a spirit rooted in tradition over time. From the original white rye to the high-rye bourbons of today, whiskey drinkers at long last have the delight and fortune to delve into of mixed up mash bills, odd aging, and handcrafted goodness with a far-reaching list of distilleries big and small. The joy is our ability to enjoy the best of both worlds: old vs new, classic vs contemporary, mainstream vs indie.

With the knowledge of Master Distiller Robert Birnecker and Sonat Birnecker Hart's deep-rooted love of craft spirits, combined with their Austrian heritage and commitment to traditional distilling techniques (Robert grew up distilling alongside his grandfather), discover the history of American whiskey and its progressive nature. The workshop features tastings of classic whiskeys and bourbons, plus new takes on the aged spirit, including whiskeys distilled from millet, straight barley, sorghum, and blue corn.

Please allot just over two hours for the workshop, led by your local whiskey lady, Kristine Sherred. Koval spirits will be available for purchase in our distillery store, with a 20% discount honored that day only for workshop attendees.
